Become an artist, performer or collaborator for the Nordic region's most exciting and versatile cultural initiative ever!
Boahji aims to be established as an important arena for Sami culture within a few years of its inception in 2023, within song, music, writing, performances, etc. and as we like to say; "in all languages". Also with a special commitment to "cultural bridge building" and co-productions both domestically and with the rest of the world.
We are an artist agency/management/production company that wants to see you as a performer and want you to succeed in every way. We can also provide support, coaching and guidance when needed, based on extensive experience from almost all aspects of the industry.
We aim to meet everyone personally but professionally and to see your full potential.
The name Boahji is carefully chosen from
Sami mythology and is the name of the Polar Star, the one whose "task" according to tradition is to hold up the firmament, and was therefore called; "the nail of the sky".
If it were lost, "the sky would fall"
- and the earth would be destroyed. For Boahji
The name is a good "metaphor" we work by - with the double meaning that lies in the word, "star" - helping artists/cultural carriers, younger or older, established, or those who are still in the starting block and then the most important thing is,
to keep us in Boahji, the artists and collaborators current, bright - and up.

SAMI CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING
We at Boahji immediately saw the necessity of raising awareness of the Sami form of communication that promotes knowledge about thinking, views on life, beliefs. All of this that "recurs" in the art, texts, communication of Sami artists and culture bearers - as experiences from their lived lives, but which most people are not aware of, neither the power of - nor the importance of this inherent, fundamental, but often unconscious understanding of. This is not least important to the "ethical Norwegian", cultural institutions and the rest of the world. Therefore, we at Boahji naturally want to "work with" our artists regarding this, as well as implement the principles of "Sami cultural understanding" in all our work, both with the Sami and ethnic Norwegian, including authorities and educational institutions by initiating a course/seminar/education in "culturally sensitive approach in Sami - Norwegian relational contexts." .
